Is my writing really private?
Yes. Jamie uses a local AI model running on your Mac via Ollama (free, open-source). You can turn your Wi-Fi off after setup and Jamie keeps working — that's the proof. No accounts, no telemetry, no cloud.
Why does macOS warn me the first time I open it?
Jamie is a small independent app and isn't Apple-notarized yet. Right-click the app → Open → click “Open”. You do this once, ever. The included README has pictures.
Will it run on my Mac?
Any Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer — that's Macs from late 2020 on) running macOS 13 or newer, with about 5 GB free for Jamie and its AI brain.
Is the writing actually good?
Jamie writes warm, human-sounding drafts that are 90% there — you add the final 10% that makes it yours. For everyday copy (posts, captions, notes, bios) that beats a blank page every single time.
